Hormonal Therapy has to be adjusted for individual needs, over or under treatment can cause serious side effects.
Thyroid Diseases should be diagnosed based on combination of clinical presentation, lab testing and radiological studies. Thyroid replacement should be used if there is proof of under active thyroid or to shrink a goiter or a thyroid nodule. Thyroid replacement should never be used for weight reduction in a person with normal thyroid function because of the risk of unjustified side effects.
Adrenal & Pituitary Diseases range from mild to life threatening, they usually need a strong understanding of Endocrinology for adequate evaluation.
